Seasonal Greetings to all

Be it Solstice, Kwanzaa, Christmas or just a holiday blowout, may you have a peaceful and joyful holiday this week. For my part, I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

To mark the occassion, George Simpson has made a friendly stop at a house where he is Santa's Helper.

Another tale from Mordaca weaves its spell on you with the tale of The Bad Girls.

Finally, one of my regular readers from Germany. Xenn, asked if I was going to, as I put it, "provide a drop of the hard stuff." It may not be vintage proof, but I hope you enjoy the story of Family Bonding.

There will be no new update now until 4th January 2010, so I will see you all in the New Year. Until then, look round, have a read, and please let me know what you think.

And now, as promised

KP Presents is proud to announce the arrival of The Chronicles of La Cioccolata to our site. You can find the complete published stories to date by clicking on the highlighted link above, or else on the link on the home page. We also have permission to post some previously unseen work, which will hopefully added over the next few weeks. We've also taken care to recreate the look of the page at Restrained Tastes - which prompts me to think about the look of the rest of the site. Stay tuned...

Once again, we think the family of Gillian B for allowing us to do this, and hope you enjoy the stories.

I'll be back Monday with (hopefully) three new stories before the Christmas break.

Monday, 14 December 2009

Good Morning - I have a tale to tell...

I have one new story for you today, but before I give you the link, please, sit back and relax – I have a story to tell…

It’s just over two years now since I first put finger to keyboard and started to write the two stories that became Like Mother, Like Daughter and Goose Fair. That was to allow entry to a Yahoo group, and in January 2008 I started KP’s DiDs, the first of what was to be three yahoo groups where I made my little tales more widely available. In November 2008 the first version of KP Presents was launched, before moving to the current home in April 2009.

As those of you who have been here since that time will know, I have always acknowledged the support of Joe and Dominique, the group owners who first allowed me to post my stories. Some of the subsequent tales have percolated in my mind for many years. For example, you do not want to know how long the tale that became Saturday Morning Sparkle sat up there, going through various iterations. Others have been inspired by one or two photos. Throughout, however, the works of two authors now sadly no longer with us have been in the back of my mind.

One of those was Captive Penny, while the other was Gillian B. I came across both at the same time, Penny at her site and Gillian through her posts on Canuck’s original board. In Gillian’s case, I then came across her stories at the Restrained Tastes site, and immersed myself in her world. The passing of both was a sad day, and they are both missed. Indeed, as some of you will remember, the Yahoo groups were dedicated to the memory of Gillian B.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and I contacted Gillian’s family to ask permission to write one of her characters in one of my stories. They were open to the idea, and for some time now I have been working on a story that would reflect the styles of both Gillian and me. As is right and proper, they have been involved throughout the process and given the right to refuse to allow the story to be published if they were unhappy.

I am pleased to say that they are very happy with the result.

Ladies and Gentlemen, KP Presents is humbled and proud to present The Chocolate Cat, a tale of the time John Jacobs, aka The Cat, meets a lady named Colette, Coco to her friends, and known internationally to law enforcement officers as La Cioccolata. The Chocolate Cat appears here with the full blessing and approval of the family of Gillian B, and I thank them for their support in this.

For those who were fans, friends and readers of the tales of Gillian, I hope that you enjoy this extension to her story.

In fact, I have one further announcement to make. Starting on Thursday, I am pleased to announce that the tales of La Cioccolata will appear here in their own section, starting with the original tales from Restrained Tastes and eventually presenting some unpublished work. Again, this is happening with the permission of Gillian’s family.

For now, enjoy the new tale, and I will see you on Thursday.

Doubling up with Mordaca

Given I only have been able to make one update this week (computer problems, and putting the finishign touches to first drafts of a few stories), I'm enliisting the help of my good friend Mordaca in a number of ways.

First, however, and long promised, please enjoy The Babysitter Bandit 2. At this rate, part 3 will apeear some time in 2020...

Now, Mordaca had an idea for a story involving a stewardess with a sideline in larceny. The result is a story you just have to call Redeye.

Next, one of Mordaca's short stories with the tale of The Getaway.

Finally, and as a special treat, oen of my all time favourite stories by Mordaca makes an appearence in the sectino we call The Longer Form. Sit back, fix yourself a drink, and enjoy The Sorority House Raid.

More next week.

Sorry, folks

My laptop died on me again, so while it's been repaired the update has been pushed back to later this week.

En Vacance

I'm actually on holiday this week, catching up with a few things and, somehow, getting a whole slew of story ideas going. These include :-
  1. Working With Ed Overton on a Christmas story for Ginger Cavanaugh
  2. Working out a story around a set of photos sent to me by Mordaca with a working title of "Tell Me On A Sunday"
  3. The WABAC machine seems to have got stuck in Austen country for "Tied with Prejudice"
  4. Xeenuser has asked for another story like "Guests for the Weekend."
  5. The Babysitter Bandit 2 is coming - honestly
  6. I have a second private commission to finish up, whivh I'm about halfway through.
  7. Finally, a story of The Cat which, if it suceeds - well, let's just say it will mark a historic point.

Talking of history - I let it pass, but KP Presents just celebrated it's first anniversary of leaving Yahoo and setting up on its own. Thank you all for sticking with us through all the changes and moves - I appreciate all the support.

SO, today - two Multiple Maidens stories with Maria Santa and No More Lies, and a nice little tale from Mordaca about The Dancer and the DA. Enjoy - new stories Tuesday next week, and on Friday I'll look at the site hits for November.

For the holiday weekend

First, an announcement - theer will be only one update next week, on Wednesday. I have some work to catch up on.

So, here's a quartet of tales, starting with one appropriate for what I believe is called Black Friday in the US retail trade - Trouble in Store.

Next, we go back to St Blazius School for Girls with Crime School 3.

Thirdly, the elder statesman of our group has some more tales to tell in Elder Cats.

Finally, but not least, Mordaca tells us of what happens When Notorious Reputations Clash.

The season to give thanks

Much as I may deride some aspects of American society from time to time, there is one thing I do admire many of you for - you don't start talking about Christmas until Thanksgiving is over with.

So, with that in mind, may I wish everyone reading this in the US a happy holiday week - and here's three tales to get you in the mood.

Firstly, the people in a house that is targeted for a home invasion start to question if it is wise to be Living Next Door To Alice - and probably giving thanks when their ordeal is over.

Secondly, the WABAC Machine has kicked into life again with another Seventies Bound tale - and the three women here are giving thanks nothing worse happened to them.

Finally, and just for the holiday season, Madame X follows up on the discoveries made during The Audit by visiting her US offices, with Dominique in tow. As a result, several women for differing reasons have A Reason To Give Thanks.

Short update on Friday.

Maidens, Maidens Everywhere...

So, here we are again - and to compensate for the single upload this week, how about two Multiple Maidens tales with embedded links to photos - would that be acceptable?

The first, Le Bal Masque, is a tale of strange robberies in a small town with a hidden connection.

The second, The Perfect Housemate, actually came from a challenge to link a set of photos to illustrate the caption "The Cable Guy said he would just be a minute..." See what you think of it.

Also, Mordaca offers a tale of A Real Fictional Ordeal.

Finally, a promise - next week, a Madame X Seasonal tale.

KP

Tuesday, 17 November 2009

Update on Thursday

I'm working on the Madame X Thanksgiving tale, and it's taking longer than I thought, so no update until Thursday.

Apologies to all.

Friday, 13 November 2009

Keeping my promises

Here, bright and shiny new, is the restoration of Bad Deal to the collection of Mordaca's stories. Howpfully this will not happen again...

Similarly, I've added to the Multiple Maidens collection a short story called A Friend In Need, that has sat there for far too long.

Finally, a new Reflections tale from The Bank Manager's Wife.

We also have the last of the WABAC Machine polls before the grand face off - make sure you cast your vote.

How you can help me

I've added chapter 5 of The Salesman Comes to the site, but if anyoen wnats to write a chapter let me know ASAP - I want to start wrapping up this story soon.

Also new today is a story called Audit, which acts as a kinda sorta prologue to the Thanksgiving/Madame X story I have planned.

Finally, a short tale of The Ties of Friendship.

UPDATE: When I checked the page for the China Doll Gang story "China Dolls", I saw it was, shall we say, not right. I've changed the link to one which will bring up a Word document that looks better. I've also taken down the Mordaca story "Bad Deal", as that file has been corrupted, and will restore that on Friday.

KP

Thursday, 5 November 2009

Remember, Remember

the fifth of November - no tale this year for Bonfire Night, but if you want to see how I marked the occasion last year then click here.

Apologies for only one update this week, but as always I'll make it a slightly larger one.

First, from the pen of Mordaca a tale of times past in The Black Wolf's Land Excuse.

Secondly, we catch up with George Simpson as he visits a family with two daughters that really are Hippie Chix.

Next up, in the Contributions section a tale from JennyGagged of Becky The Detective.

Finally, join us in the tale of The Worm That Turned.

October business...

So, October has come and gone, and how did people use the site? Let’s look at the figures…

We had a total of 776 visitors on 1,894 occasions, looking at a total of 11,258 separate page views. Of these, 707 were new visitors – welcome to you. You came from 41 countries, from South Africa to Japan, from Canada to the Falkland Islands, with the most visitors coming from the USA, Britain and Germany. It amazes me that people from so many different cultures and places want to read at least one thing posted here.

Now, about 41% linked directly to the site, 38% from links elsewhere and the rest from searches. Most referring links were either on some Yahoo groups, my Flickr page or my Deviantart page – and if you haven’t visited either of those to see some samples of my art collection, pay them a visit. The really surprising thing was the number who linked in from a post I made on a Dreambook – again, if you are one of those than welcome.

As for the searches – here are some samples of the search terms that somehow, inexplicably led to here:-

Undercover policewoman bound gagged captured
Saw her mother bound and gagged
“kinckered bottom”
“smelly rag or cloth” “out cold”
duct taped to wall tickle

and so on and so on...

Now, the pages visited. Once again they covered the entirety of the site, but the ten most popular stories are, in no particular order:-

Navy Wives (Again, thanks to Jim from Michigan for allowing me to post that one)
Surprise Surprise
Wrap up Warm
The Rare Stamp
Changeling
Trick or Treat
DoubleCross
NightWatch
The Search
Shadow Dancing
A Debt Repaid and A War Started (One of Mordaca’s finest)

Obviously, the more recently posted stories lost out a little bit, but if I told you stories such as Wiccan Woes and Guests For The Weekend were still under there, you will see why I am continually surprised at what is popular.

So what is coming this month? More of the same, I hope. As Thanksgiving is approaching, I think one or two themed stories may appear, and there is the small matter of what the hell George Simpson is up to with that watch to sort out.

As it is November, you may also notice a small addition to the front page. That will stay there until after the 11th, and I hope it is self explanatory.

Now, if you will excuse me, I have a conversation planned with a certain lady named Dominique…

Something for the holiday weekend

Let's finish up our Halloween collection with a tale involving four white witches, a ceremony, a meal and three China Dolls in Wiccan Woes.

Fresh from the Multiple Maidens collection is a story called Truth or Dare - and the photo links are essential to follow what's happening...

Finally, Mordaca has another Rude Awakening tale to tell.

KP

Tuesday, 27 October 2009

Good Morning

Two new tales for you today, one brand new and one I finally managed to recover from a corrupted stick.

First the old, as the internal disciplinary committee of the Burglars' Association meet to discuss recent attacks on their assets, and to decide if those responsible should Pay The Piper.

Secondly, a slightly different tale for me, as a young girl called Jayne is introduced to some new experiences by her boyfriend, with the assurance that It's Just A Game.

More Friday, including one final spooky story for the month...

KP

Friday, 23 October 2009

Sorry about that

Let me see if I can make up for the delay...

First, and continuing our Haloween theme, two sisters and their daughters are plannign to attend a costuem party when there is a knock on the door. For this Trick Or Treat, however, they were not expecting the Family of Crime...

Next up, a classic Multiple Maidens tale in the form of The Search - along with embeeded links to the photos that inspired the story.

Finally, our weekly visit to the mind of Mordaca telles the tale of one master criminal, and How He Was Caught Red Handed.

Normal business will be resumed next week.

My business trip is taking up more of my time than I thought, so the next update will be on Friday now. I'll make up for it then,

KP

Friday, 16 October 2009

For your consideration once more....

A reflective tale for the season in NightWatch...

A tale from the BA in The Princess and The Pearl...

And a tale from Mordaca's files of A Debt Repaid and A War Declared.

I'm travelling on business next week, so next update will either be Monday morning or Tuesday night - I'm not sure which yet.

What have you been reading...

It’s now a month since I started to track properly the activity on this site, so I thought I’d share some of the results with you.

We’ve had at least 11,200 page views over 1,789 visits – I’ve no idea if that’s a lot, but we average out at about 60 to 70 visits a day. That makes over 700 people from 40 countries – the US and the UK are the most common countries, but there seems to be a core following in Canada, Germany, Brazil, Italy and Australia. Among the more far flung visitors have been ones from China, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia – welcome to you if you are reading this.

Forty seven per cent of you come directly here, so thank you for adding KP Presents to your favourites. A further 35% come from links on other sites, such as the blog, Yahoo groups and other communities. The remainder come from search engines – mainly Google but others as well.

As far as content is concerned – all areas of the site are getting regular visits, but the most popular story from an incomplete survey in the last month appears to be….

Secured Again!

It’s interesting to see stories like Guests for the Weekend come up as popular – given it is what I call “A Drop of the Hard Stuff”, I am always surprised how popular it is. It’s also good to see so many of the contributed stories are popular – not just from Mordaca, but also those by Ed Overton and others.

The Salesman Comes is also proving popular – so once again, if you have a chapter to add let me know.

Now that we’re fully up and running on this, I’ll report back with a monthly update on activity, but for now – thank you all for supporting this site, and keep reading.

Going back to my roots

in a way with one of the two new stories to the site today.

First, let me offer a tale of dishonour amongst thieves in Doublecross.

Now, Navy Wives was a story I first read many years ago on wwarmachine's Mothers Tied dreambook. When I ran the Yahoo group, Jim from Michigan was kind enough to send it to me to post there, and I also had it on the first version of this site. It's long overdue for ti to appear here, so if this is the first time you've read it, enjoy.

A gentle reminder - I do encourage those of you who think you have a story to tell to write it and send it in for possible posting.

October drags on...

So let's have the first of a set of Halloween stories I have planned, in the form of Changeling.

Also, I am pleased to fill out another Reader's Request in the form of Shadow Dancing.

Finally, Mordaca has another tale of coming to in danger with Rude Awakening 2 - with a very special guest star...

Tuesday, 6 October 2009

Two for visiting

The Gentlemen Robbers just wanted to get in and out quickly, while the parents were away and the daughter was out. They figured without the daughter's friends letting themselves in, so Surprise Surprise another tale unfolds.

Also new today, in the Multiple Maidens section, we offer the story of The Rare Stamp, complete with embedded photo links.

Into the box again

Four stories for today, each illustrating a different aspect of the site.

When the WABAC Machine gets warmed up, it oftn goes back to the seventies or the time of Jayes and Barty Rhymaes. Today it's the latter as we explore the tale of Jayes and the Masked Marvel.

Meanwhile, from the pen of Mordaca comes the story of The Decent Hired Guns.

From the archives comes the tale of The Plumbers.

Finally, I do occassionally do requests, and where possible I post them here. This is one such tale, but I've amended some details to protect the person who first requested it. What we have is a tale of a mother and daughter as they are forced to Wrap Up Warm.

Let's start witha return appearence by All Secured Security Services, as they find themselves in a situation where they leave their guests Secured Again.

My friend Mordaca suggested a story idea some time back, which makes the basis of the Reflection I call Thoughts on a Wet Afternoon.

And, speaking of Mordaca, enjoy one of my favourites amongst his stories with The Temporary Hideout.

As always, Comments are welcomed.

Apologies to all

Good morning, world

I've finished installing the new tracking software, and already it's throwing up some interesting locations and patterns. Be assured the data is kept private - and I'm not letting anyone else see it.

Only two tales today, but to make up for it onr of them has accomanyign photos. That one tells the tale of the girl whop played Amazonia! - and what happened next to her.

In addition, I finally get the On My Own section fully up to date with a short tale of Sweet Caroline.

Question and stories

This new tracking system I'm installing to monitor activity on the site is throwing up some interesting stuff - apparently in the last couple of days I've had visitors from San Francisco to Perth, Australia, and San Reno to Salford. Nice to know, that.

It also tells me where people are coming from - but one place appears to be a discussion thread on a board hosted by someone on a site called thebesthosting.org. Anyone throw some light on the board in question?

Anyway, a couple of stories today. I present for your edification Chapter 4 of The Salesman Comes, and yet again ask if anyone wants to write a chapter to get in touch and let me know.

I also have a new Reader's Request story for you, as we revisit an old friend from a past story looking into strange attacks on ordinary women that may be linked to a Reunion.

Finally, from the pen of Mordaca we have a story of a woman held hostage in her own home and kept very much In The Dark.

Enjoy,

Catching up with old friends

In this case, one George Simpson, as he starts the next stage of hsi journey with a visit that involves Charity.

We also have a new story of relatives in peril, as I stumble again across the satellite channel that had The Assistant and watch You Bet Your Life.

Finally, an old On My Own tale that covers a company that provides Solutions For Business.

A word from myself and Ed Overton - please, of you have ideas for Perils of Ginger, or any other story, write to me or visit our discussion boards and write them down.

Happy Labor Day!!

Of course, this only applies in the US, although if you are reading this in Brazil then happy Independence Day!

Normally I'd be more than happy to put up a couple of Holiday Hostages tales at this point, but I'm afraid you'll have to wait a week or so this time. I will say this - I found that satellite channel that showed The Assistant over the weekend, and they had a very special Telefon event going on....

Anyway - for today, may I offer a Reader's Request tale that introduces a character I think may well appear in future tales - Lady C.

Also, the WABAC machine has thrown up a short story called Scouting for Girls.

Finally, a classic tale of mine that for some reason has not been posted up here yet. I can rectify that today with The Best Laid Plans.

One more thing - next update here will be next Monday. Combination of work commitments and wanting to build up the upcoming story collection.

Finally, for those who like their stories with pictures, consider an Offer You Cannot Refuse.

Have fun,

Fair warning

It is a bank holiday weekend here in the UK, so the next update will be on Tuesday next week, not Monday as usual.

Thursday, 27 August 2009

Straying into strange areas....

I offer three tales today, that in their ways go up against some of the boundaries I set for myself. Let me explain...

When it comes to tales of the Family of Crime, you expect a bit more of a physical meance and threat than with, say, The Gentlemen Robbers. In House Call, we focus on the men of the Family, who are joined by Uncle as they gather "collateral" for some business.

We also offer a tale of the Sporting Life called Match Tied, where the assailants are perhaps not the most friendly of people.

Finally, one of my cardinal rules in my stories is that children are not placed in peril as such. If we are being honest, however, criminals do occasionally deal with children, and it may be that should be reflected in some way in these tales. For that reason, today The Cat offers some tales of how he dealt with children in his profession in Cat In The Cradle. I state here - no children are actually harmed, but do let me know if this is a step too far and the story will be amended in a suitable manner.

You'll know which part I'm talking about when you read it.

KP

I'm back

Refreshed, revigorated, and with some new ideas to try out. If you'd like a sneak preview of five upcoming stories, than have a look at http://whoistheshadownow.deviantart.com/art/Sneaky-Peeks-134491549

As for today - well, you may remember the narrator and Jay from In Exchange were last seen heading over the border. We catch up with them as they explore the question of just why She's The One.

With many thanks to Mordaca, we can now add to the On My Own section a tale of Daisy Dukes and bare soles as Mary-Lou discovers she is not Safe At Home.

In fact, why no thave an extra Mordaca story this week in the form of Intruders At The Cuckoo's New Nest.

More Thursday.

Holiday Reading

I will be off on Holiday from Friday 7th to Monday 24th of August, so it is extremely unlikely there will be any updates until then after today. Which means I need to give you some holiday tales to pass the time.

How about another of my tales in The Longer Form, as Dominique is asked to carry out a Mole Quest.

In addition, how about a special tale from Mordaca that could only be related Off The Record.

Please welcome Sir David J to the list of contributing authors on the site, with his tale of Carol's Big Break.

In the On My Own section, I offer a cautionary tale of the importance of Safety First.

For those who consider Robbery at the Sorority House a favourite, what do you think will happen if we Return to the Sorority House? Read the tale, and see if the linked pictures help.

An unusual tale has just been coughed up from the WABAC machine - could this be a case of Sour Grapes?

Finally, a special Reflections tale called Special Request. I cannot be the only one who could relate to this tale, so share your thoughts on this or any of the other stories here or at the discussion board.

Finally, a special request of my own. With all the moves between hosts and sites, I've lost my copy of a tale called "Safe at Home" If anyone has this tale, please send it to me for uploading at some future point.

That's it - have a good time and I'll see you all on the 24th!

One woman discovers a miracle Gauranteed Cure for her financial problems comes with a stiff price.

Spend A Week In The Life of two very different people, but with a shared interest and destined to come together.

Finally, what happens when the China Doll Gang meet some examples of China Doll? Well, tell me what you think of this one...

A special from Mordaca today

Indeed, an extra length tale as he relates the details of a Bad Deal.

Fans of The Gentlemen Robbers can read a tale of how they show due Respect To The Female.

Finally, in the Multiple Maidens section, the tale of a television program called The Assistant.

Something old, something new, something special

In the "On My Own" section, you can now read what happens when the Dawn raider says to a young woman No Workout Today.

Meanwhile, Madame X evaluates a recent case in The Case History.

Finally, I had an e-mail from Chrissie, one of the owners of the Hostage Sisters Yahoo group, complementing the site. That makes this an appropriate moment to post up Hostage Sisters in the Multiple Maidens section.

Thursday, 16 July 2009

Tales that make you go MMPH!!

In the "On My Own" section, you can read what happens when a teacher finds herself in a Tight Spot - complete with illustrations yet!

Meanwhile, when a high school reunion takes place, the question in one woman's mind is Whatever Happened To Polly?

Finally, Mordaca tells of what happens when a yougn woman has a Rude Awakening.

Monday, 13 July 2009

Pictures - honestly!!

As promised, one of today's two new stories is actually a photo story. It has to be - this came from a challenge where a group of people offered one photo each, and we need the photos for Award Night to make sense. Click on the underlined text for the pictures.

We bring the story of George's Journey bang up to date with a tale called The Short and The Tall -wherein we take Lily and place her in a new situation, hinted at in Diamond Lights. Where George goes from here I'm not sure yet - unless you lot have any ideas...

Finally, a classic On My Own tale inspired by a classic Bhowani photo set - enjoy Lessons in Revenge.

Not Friday

I won't have time to do the update tomorrow, so you're getting it a day early.

Starting with the first ever tale I read from Mordaca, set around The Swimming Pool.

He also provided the inspiration for the new tale in the Multiple Maidens section, as we look at what happens In Exchange for various things.

Finally, a new tale in the Sporting Life section, with a special guest star, as someone goes to the motor meet to start a Racing Collection.

A very special day

I am pleased to announce that The Longer Form returns to KP Presents. This is the section where I publish longer stories that I have written, and we open with the first complete publication on the web in one document of Diamond Lights. Some of you have seen this in episodic form, some as a complete story, but now all can follow the tale of the Reissman diamonds.

I also have up today the latest stage of George's Journey as a family find a surprise waiting when they come Home From The Mall. A brand new story in the Multiple Maidens section tells the tale of a Stone Cold Certainty, and the Lady in Grey finds herself in trouble in the On My Own collection.

Happy 4th of July!!

Three new stories today for your holiday weekend amusement.

Firstly, your Mordaca story for this week tells An Ex-Captive's Tale.

Next, given it is Independance Day on Saturday, I think it's time we told the other side of the story that you can read in Moral Majority in the Relative Perils section.

Finally, a new story based on a Reader's Request submitted by Tazz, who wanted to hear the other side of the story told in The Most Unusual of Ransoms. So, you can read that now in Hostage's Progress.

Enjoy the holiday, and I'll see you all on Monday.

From Thailand to Home

We start our journey today in Thailand, where some unsuspecting girls end up in a Slave Caravan that leads to Objects of Beauty.

For our Multiple Maidens tale, we join a bunch of teenage girls as curiosity get the better of them and they become Hostages to Fortune.

Meanwhile, the assistant of a gallery owner has an Interview that leads into "Private Viewing".

Last, but not least, we go to the Relative Perils section for a tale that took me a while to get right, given my rule of no kids in the stories, as someone ends up Reliving Your Past.

Before we begin

A moment of silence for Michael Jackson - a strange, no make that a very strange man, but a musical genius nonetheless.

New today - the next chapter from myself to The Salesman Comes. I'm looking for a volunteer to write the next chapter before the police start to take interest...

From Mordaca, an illustration of The Wrong Way To Do The Right Thing.

A group of girls out for a karaoke night discover they have to Sing For Their Supper in the Multiple Maidens section.

Finally, the wife of a Japanese diplomat discovers what it means to be a Hostage to the Garden of Earthly Effects.

Back Monday - have a good weekend.

Monday, Monday

Let me see if I can cheer you up with some stories - and, now that I'm not doing huge uploads, I can link properly to the stories (I hope)....

First, the old tales. In the Multiple Maidens selection, I offer a tale of bridal woes as she calls Get Me To The Church On Time!!!

At the other end of the scale, the On My Own section asks What Happened To Jenny?

Now, for those who are following George's Journey, answers and a possible new direction as we observe George's Big Job.

Finally, a brand new tale for the site as we observe the fact it is officially Midsummer with a Scandinavian tale called Midsummer Bound.

More Thursday PM.

PHEW!!!!

Well, the new site first went live two months ago, and finally I think we have it in the shape ti will stay for the foreseeable future.

In the last two days, I've completed uploading the remaining story sections with the following exceptions:-

George's Journey - that still has a few parts to repost, but as it is an ongoing study they will appear over the next few weeks.

Objects of Beauty - One story still to go back up, but there are a couple of new ones waiting in the wings.

Multiple Maidens and On My Own - some of the stories have been uploaded, but the rest will appear a couple at a time with all-new stories over the next few weeks.

Links - the links page is now up and running, and I hope you find them useful. If you have any links you think could be added, drop them in as a comment and I'll check them out.

As for photo stories - well, maybe a couple more will appear, but for the old ones I'm going to need to hear a resounding "PLEASE!!" to expend the effort to get them up again.

So, we can now resume to the situation it was for the old site - guaranteed updates at least twice a week (normally Monday and Thursday) with old favourites and all-new stories to entertain you.

The ball, as they say, is back in your court - let us know what you think of the site now, and any story ideas you have, particularly for Ginger Cavanaugh stories. Also, if you have stories you think fit the site theme, send them to me and I'll see if they can go into the Contributions section.

Four new and different tales

Let's fill in a couple of gaps today....

Firstly, I am pleased to say that Bound_Is_Best has offered another tale of the associates of The Baron, with "After Hours at the Classic Car Museum" in the contributions section.

Speaking of other writers, I've added a tale from Mordaca to his section called "The Stolen Warrantries".

Next, we have the next stop in George's Journey as his newly-reunited gang carry out the "Four-Way Crossover Caper".

And finally, we look at the uglier side of the services that Objects of Beauty provide so elegantly in the "Garage Sale".

Celebrating Holidays

And why not - as the Holiday Hostages section of the site is full restored, including "Secret Santa" and "Carnival crime", two past favourites.

Talking of which - I need to start work on loading up the Multiple Maidens and On My Own stories, so if you have favourites you want to see up come to the discussion board and make your views known.

For your reference

The contents of the old update page:-

http://www.kppresents.com/updates.htm

And we move on.....

As you may have realised, using the server page I had for updates has been a bit - nasty. With that in mind, and to give you somewhere else to post comments, I'm going to start using this blog for update and other information.

The discussion board is still there for other topics of discussion, but Ihope you find this useful too.
